The Hawaii Tropics claimed Charm City Jimmies SS Enrique Hernandez off of waivers. Hernandez has struggled offensively the past two seasons.
GM Jim Walker said, “Hernandez was brought in for defense and utility. If he finds himself at the plate even better.”
Hernandez can play 2B, 3B, SS and CF while having one year left on his contract that pays him $2.5 million.
He was signed out of Venezuela by Valencia in March of 2035 and made his BBA debut in 2040 with the Stars. He has had some success but many failures in his career and it will be interesting to see what the Tropics can get out of him for the 2049 season.
