The Hawaii Tropics return home for a three game series against the Pacific Division Champs Sacramento Mad Popes.

Game 1- The Mad Popes extend the Hawaii losing streak to six games with a win in the series opener. Tropics SP Zak ‘Hitman’ Johnson gave a good effort against the Mad Popes with 6 1/3 innings of work. He allowed two runs on six hits but walked four to go along with four punchies. He took the loss to fall to 10-14 with a 4.64 ERA.

The only offense the Tropics could muster was off the bat of Mike Campbell. Campbell was 3 for 4 with a solo homer.
