The Hawaii Tropics return home on a nine game losing streak and have to face the Vancouver Mounties in a four game series. Hawaii comes into the series 3-6 against Vancouver on the season.



Game 1- SP Atmo ‘Mole’ Ananas made his first start for the Tropics after the trade between Hawaii and San Fernando that saw Alaric Wullenweber depart Hawaii. Ananas went 5 innings for Hawaii giving up two runs on four hits. He walked two and fanned four to get his first win as a Tropic.

Stephen Cox was 2 for 4 with a double and a solo homer. He scored two runs and drove in two. Mike Campbell was 1 for 3 with a walk and a solo homer. He scored a run and drove in a run.



Hawaii wins 5-4.



Game 2- The good Zak ‘Hitman’ Johnson made an appearance for Hawaii and helped the Tropics to another win. He pitched six innings allowing two runs on nine hits. He walked zero and fanned seven to improve to 7-10 with a 4.97 ERA.

Pierangelo Ferri was 2 for 4 with a two run homer and a stone base. Jorge Salas was 2 for 4 with a two run triple.



Hawaii wins 5-3.



Game 3- The Vancouver Mounties fight back and allow the Tropics just three hits and a run to crawl back into the series. Tropics SP Bob McConnell was not good but not bad over 5 1/3 innings. He allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks. He struck out two and falls to 4-8 with a 6.23 ERA.

LF Bronx ‘Little Bron’ Cortez was 1 for 4 with a solo homer. Mike Campbell ( 1 for 1) and C Ron Shiplack (1 for 4) had the other hits for Hawaii.



Vancouver wins 7-1.



Game 4- The Mounties and Tropics played to a 4-4 tie through nine innings before Vancouver scored a run in the top of the thirteenth and held off Hawaii for the series split. SP Maup Manshert took the mound for Hawaii and made it through 4 2/3 innings. He allowed two runs on two hits, and two walks. He fanned seven batters in a no decision.

Mike Campbell was 3 for 4 with a double and a solo homer. He walked twice, scored a run and drove in two runs. He was also caught stealing. Pierangelo Ferri was 2 for 5 with a walk, a runs scored and a stolen base. He was also caught stealing two times. Stephen Cox was 2 for 5 with a walk, a run scored and an RBI.



Vancouver wins 5-4.
