The Hawaii Tropics finish their home stand with a four game series against the Seattle Storm.



Game 1- The Hawaii Tropics fall short in their come back bid to lose the series opener to the Storm 3-2. SP Zak ‘Hitman’ Johnson gave up three runs to the Storm in 5 1/3 innings of work. He allowed six hits and walked three batters. Johnson fanned seven but falls to 3-5 on the season.

Omar Altaner was 2 for 4 with a double and a homer. He scored a run and drove in two.



Seattle wins 3-2.



Game 2- The Tropics fall behind the Storm in the seventh inning as Seattle scored four runs. Hawaii responded with four runs of their run to take the lead. Denny Hamilton and Jon Whaley shutdown the Storm the rest of the way to secure the win.

Omar Altaner was 2 for 4 with another homer, a run scored and three RBI. Mike Campbell was 2 for 4 with a run scored and two RBI.

Bob McConnell got the start for the Trops going 4 2/3 innings. He surrendered two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out three.



Hawaii wins 8-6.



Game 3- The Tropics get a good start from SP Alaric Wullenweber to take another game in the series. He pitched six innings giving up two runs on five hits and a walk. He fanned eight batters in a no decision.

Stephen Cox was 2 for 4 with two doubles and two RBI. Katsumi Matsumoto was 2 for 3 with a run scored.



Hawaii wins 4-2.



Game 4- The Hawaii Tropics score late again to get the series win over the Seattle Storm 3-1. SP Niccolo “Notorious” Destefani pitched seven innings for Hawaii allowing two runs on eight hits and three walks. Ronnie Sprinkles pitched the final two innings striking out two batter and getting the win.

Mike Campbell was 2 for 4 with a double and a solo homer. Ira Sanchez was 1 for 3 with a solo homer, a run scored and two RBI.

Hawaii wins 4-2.



The Hawaii Tropics begin their Heartland road trip with a three game series against the Yellow Springs Nine.



Game 1- The Nine come back from down 5-0 and get the win in the series opener. Hawaii scored five runs in a big seven runs seventh to take the lead. SP Maup Manshert allowed no runs on just two hits and walked two. He couldn’t get past the fifth inning as the patient Tellow Springs hitters worked the count. He struck out three batters in 4 1/3 innings.

Jorge Salas was 2 for 5 with a double, a run scored and an RBI. Lorenzo Gonzales was 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Mike Campbell was 1 for 4 with two RBI.



Yellow Springs wins 8-6.



Game 2- Hawaii Starter Zak Johnson pitched well but the Tropics fall to the Nine as their staff was a little better. Johnson pitched seven innings allowing three runs on six hits and a walk. He struck out three batters and falls to 3-6 on the season.

Lorenzo Gonzales was 1 for 4 with an RBI.


Yellow Springs wins 3-1.



Game 3- The Hawaii Tropics salvage a game in the series against the Yellow Springs Nine. The game was tied 5-5 after nine innings and went fourteen innings before the Trops prevailed with two runs in the top of the inning.

Bob McConnell had a rough start for Hawaii going 4 2/3 innings giving up five runs on five hits and two walks. He struck out just one in the no decision.The bullpen was the star of teh game with 9 1/3 innings of shut out ball and the Nine offense.

Logan ‘LJ’ Niles came off the bench to go 2 for 3 with a two run homer. He scored two and drove in two. Ira Sanchez was 3 for 6 with two doubles and two RBI.
