Mike Campbell walks out.
The Hawaii Tropics were informed by Campbell’s agent Bart Scoras that he will opt out of his contract. Campbell leaves the Tropics as their all time home run and hits leader.
Campbell finishes his Tropics career with a .302 career average (2nd), .560 SLG% (2nd), .912 OPS (2), 45.6 WAR (2), 1699 Games (2), 6714 AB (2), 7335 PA (2), 1060 Runs (1), 2025 Hits (1), 3758 TB (1), 1162 Singles (2), 390 Doubles (1), 76 Triples (3), 397 Home Runs (1), 1237 RBI (1), 83 CS (6), 495 Walks (6) and 1134 Strikeouts (4).
GM Jim Walker said of Campbell, “Mike will be missed around here. We wish him luck wherever he ends up.”
