The Hawaii Tropics their final 10 game road trip starting with a four game series against the Long Beach Surfers at Vito Constantino Memorial Stadium.



Game 1- Hawaii SP Niccolo “Notorious” Destefani dominated the Long Beach lineup allowing just five hits over 7 1/3 innings. He walked one and fanned seven to improve to 13-10 with a 3.83 ERA. Felipe Lopez came on in relief going 1 1/3 innings giving up just a hit a struck out two for his 8th hold of the season. Denny Hamilton was brought in to get the final out and get his 6th save.

Manny Garcia was 4 for 4 with a run scored. Ron Shiplack was 1 for 4 with a homer that scored Garcia.



Hawaii wins 2-0.



Game 2- Pinch hitter Logan ‘LJ’ Niles cracks a single that scored Ernest McBride to give the Tropics a narrow 3-2 lead. Ronnie Sprinkles gets the first out in the bottom of the ninth but gives up a double. Tropics Manager Antonio Sanchez gives the ball to Luis Santiago to finish it out. Santiago walked the next batter before inducing a double play ground ball to end the game.

Jesus Gonzalez took the hill to start the game for Hawaii and pitched five innings. He gave up two runs on two hits, walked five and struck out five. Denny Hamilton went 1 1/3 innings of scoreless and hitless baseball while striking out two. He gave way to Sprinkles who pitched two innings allowing just two hits to get the win.

Mike Campbell was 1 for 4 with a solo homer. Ernest McBride was 2 for 4 with a solo homer and two runs scored.



Hawaii wins 3-2.



Game 3- The Surfers staff turns the tables on the Tropics and shut down the Hawaii offense to get a much needed win.

SP Maup Manshert could only get through 4 2/3 innings against the Long Beach lineup. He allowed a run on four hits, walked three and struck out five. He threw 100 pitches in the process and took the loss to fall to 8-8 with a 3.86 ERA.

Mike Campbell was 2 for 4.



Long Beach wins 2-0.



Game 4- The Surfers score single runs in the final three innings to overtake the Tropics and split the series with Hawaii.

SP Zak ‘Hitman’ Johnson did pitch well for Hawaii going 7 1/3 innings surrendering two runs on four hits, a walk and struck out six.

Manny Garcia was 0 for 5 with an RBI. David Guerra was 1 fir 4 with a double and a run scored.



Long Beach wins 3-2.



The Tropics move on to San Fernando for a three game series against the Bears.



Game 1- The Tropics unload on the Bears in the final three innings to take the series opener. Jose Camacho was 1 for 6 with a three run homer and three runs scored. Mike Campbell was 3 for 6 with a triple, a run and two RBI. Tony Hernandez was 3 for 5 with a triple, three runs scored and three RBI. McBride was 3 for 6 with a double, a run scored and two RBI.

SP Alaric Wullenweber pitched 6 2/3 innings allowing two runs on nine hits and a walk. He fanned eight batters and improves to 15-7 with a 2.97 ERA.



Hawaii wins 14-4.



Game 2- The Bears get a big combined four hit shutout of the Tropics to even the series and even their record.

Nick Destefani stumbled for the Tropics going 4 2/3 innings giving up seven runs (five earned) on seven hits and three walks. He struck out six and falls to 13-11 with a 3.97 ERA. Denny Hamilton settled the game down for Hawaii going 2 2/3 innings giving up just a hit and fanning three.

Jose Camacho was 2 for 4 with a double.



San Fernando wins 8-0.



Game 3- The Tropics bats wake up again to give Hawaii another series win. Manny Garcia was 4 for 5 with double, a run scored and an RBI. David Guerra was 2 for 5 with a solo homer, a runs scored and three RBI. Tony Hernandez added a 2 for 5 day with a solo homer, two runs scored and an RBI.

Jesus Gonzalez pitched 7 2/3 innings allowing just a run on seven hits, walked two and struck out seven batters. He improves to 14-10 with a 3.76 ERA.



Hawaii wins 9-2.
