At AAA Death Valley Scorpions- SP Ronnie Sprinkles has made 17 starts this season going 7-6 with a 3.50 ERA. Through 103 innings pitched he has given up 13 HR walked 21 and struck out 64.

His pitching coach in Death Valley Daniel Silva said of Sprinkles, “ His slider has improved and he is gettin that late movement that he has used to great effect this season. It isn’t wild movement though, his control is there.”

GM Jim Walker said, “ I would like to give him the entire year there in AAA but if he keeps pushing upward we will have to reward him with a call up.”

At AA Carson City- SP Brian Lewis began the season in A ball Medford but received his promotion to AA Carson City. Since that promotion he has made 6 starts going 2-1 with a 2.90 ERA over 31 IP. He has allowed 23 hits (1 homer), walked 18 and struck out 23.

Carson City PC Chris Drover said, “Lewis is working on his control. We have seen improvements in that area of his game and are confident that he will get to where he needs to be to get to AAA.



SP Necdet Sunay has struggled with control issues over the past four starts. He has made 14 starts this season going 3-8 with a 4.94 ERA in 82 IP. He has given up 78 hits, walking 36 and striking out 58.



C Carl Thibodeaux is slashing .296/.372/.409 through 42 games in AA. He has hit 4 homers and driven in 27 RBI.



3B Owen Jones has moved over from SS and made an impact. He is slashing .259/.319/.319 with 2 homers and 25 RBI. He strikes out way too much but plays good defense at 3B and will receive a promotion to AAA.

At Single A Medford-

SP George Williamson was having a good season in Medford going 3-5 with a 3.25 ERA over 61 innings. He struck out 58 and walked 20 but ruptured his UCL and will miss the next 14 months. So far there has been no reports of any problems with his recovery.



RP Bob Ryder is struggling with control and consistency in his stay at Medford. He has made 28 appearances going 1-3 with 7 saves with a 4.67 ERA over 27 IP. He has struck out 17 and walked 29 creating many of his problems.



2B Adhyapayana Mehta has made his move from SS to 2B and has seen his defense at 2B rise this season. He has hit .253/.345/.364 in 297 ABs. He has 27 doubles and 3 triples with 27 RBI. He has walked 42 times and struck out 76.

At Short A San Juan- SP Daruna Maddukuri has made huge improvements after signing out of India with the Hawaii Tropics in 2044. In his third season in San Juan something has clicked and he has a chance to make the big leagues if he continues with this improvement. He has made 6 starts this season going 1-2 with a 3.99 ERA. He has allowed 2 homers, walked 10 and struck out 27.



SP Edwin Pierce struggled out of the gate with San Juan but has improved start after start. He has made 5 starts so far with a 8.68 ERA but his FIP is 4.68. He has struck out 19 and walked 9 in 18 2/3 IP.



SP Bill Dempsey is repeating Short A and he has made an improvement from last season. Through 5 starts he is 4-1 with a 2.67 ERA with 20 Ks and 12 walks.

At Rookie League Gaylord Sting Rays- SP Semih Gurani made 6 starts and has gone 2-1 with a 3.81 ERA. He has struck out 26 and walked 10 in 28 1/3 IP.



SP Reggie ‘Pudge’ Thomas has made 5 starts going 3-1 with a 1.95 ERA in 27 2/3 IP. He has struck out 21 batters and walked 6.



C Frank McMillan has made an impression this season behind the plate for the Sting Rays. He has thrown out 36.4% of base runners and posted a CERA of 3.64. At the plate, he is hitting ,242 with 4 homers and 11 RBI.



2B Karunamaya Makarand has shown improvement over 2045, He is hitting .297 with 7 stolen bases. In the field, he is showing good range and good hands.



First round pick Angelo Lucchesi is making an impact immediately upon arriving in Gaylord. In 19 games he has 31 hits in 78 ABs with 2 doubles, 3 triples, 10 RBI, 9 walks and 12 Ks. He is slashing .397/.455/.500 with a 1 WAR. On defense, he is flashing the glove that he displayed in high school that had Hawaii scouts drooling.
