The Hawaii Tropics host the Sacramento Mad Popes in a Pacific Division clash at Diamond Head.



Game 1- The Tropics bullpen implodes in the top of the ninth allowing six runs to give the Md Popes a two run lead over Hawaii. The Tropics came back in the bottom of the ninth with a dramatic two run homer by DH Ernest McBride for the walk off win.

McBride was 3 for 5 on the day with a double, a homer, a run scored and four RBI.

RF Mike Campbell was 1 for 3 with a run scored and three RBI.

2B Carlos Martinez was 3 for 4 with two doubles, a homer, two runs scored and an RBI.

SP Ernie Poole pitched five innings giving up three runs on seven hits, walked one and struck out two.



Hawaii wins 10-9.



Game 2- The Mad Popes chase Hawaii SP Alaric Wullenweber after 6 1/3 then destroy the Tropics bullpen for eight runs to even the series 1-1. Wullenweber allowed three runs on six hits. He walked a batter and struck out five. Wullenweber falls to 10-2 on the season with a 2.75 ERA.

C Ron Shiplack was 1 for 4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI.



Sacramento wins 11-2.



Game 3- The Mad Popes get by the Tropics with good pitching and defense to take the series 2-1.


SP Niccolo “Notorious” Destefani pitched six innings and surrendered three runs on four hits, walked three and struck out one. He falls to 4-4 with a 4.00 ERA.



Sacramento wins 4-2.



The Tropics steal away to Louisville for a three game series against the Sluggers.



Game 1- Hawaii Tropics bats continue their slumber as the Sluggers takes the series opener.

SP Jesus Gonzalez had another decent start going 5 2/3 innings giving up two runs on six hits, walking three and striking out two. He falls to 4-5 with a 3.81 ERA.

Backup C Norberto ‘Trout’ Salinas was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.



Louisville wins 4-2.



Game 2- The Tropics and Sluggers go to extras tied at 5-5 but Hawaii scored five runs in the top of the tenth to even the series at 1-1.

3B Hector Ojeda was 3 for 5 with two homers, two runs scored and five RBI to lead all Tropics hitters.

LF Bronx ‘Little Bron’ Cortez was 1 for 3 with a homer, a run and two RBI.

SP Zak ‘Hitman’ Johnson continued his sub par performance with five innings of uninspired work. He gave up five runs on nine hits and struck out two batters.



Hawaii wins 10-5.



Game 3- The Louisville Sluggers score four runs in the first inning and never looked back as the win the rubber game to take the series 2-1.

SP Ernie Poole pitched five innings giving up the four runs in the first inning before settling down. He allowed eight hits, walked two and struck out three. He falls to 2-7 with a 6.01 ERA.

LF Bastiao Fardos was 3 for 4 with a solo homer.

McBride was 2 for 4 with a solo homer.

Mike Campbell was 1 for 4 with a solo homer.



Louisville wins 8-3.
