The Hawaii Tropics finish their road trip with a three game series against the Vancouver Mounties at the Northwoods Outpost.



Game 1- The Hawaii Tropics shutout the Mounties using three pitchers and another h9mer off the bat of 3B Hector Ojeda to take the series opener.

SP Alaric Wullenweber pitched 7 2/3 innings and surrendered just seven hits and struck out six to improve to 6-1 with a 2.82 ERA. RP Luis Santiago followed Wullenweber with 2/3 of an inning allowing nothing. Then, rookie RP Denny Hamilton finished off the Mounties giving up just a walk in 2/3 of an inning of work to earn his second save of teh season.

Ojeda was 1 for 3 with his 14th bomb of the season.



Hawaii wins 1-0.



Game 2- Trailing the Tropics 4-0 going into the bottom of the seventh inning, the Mounties score one run in the seventh, one in the eighth and finally three in the bottom of the ninth to get the walk off win to even the series.

SP Niccolo “Notorious” Destefani had his good start wasted after going six innings giving up a run on seven hits, a walk and struck out seven batters.

Ojeda was 1 for 4 with a double and an run driven in but had his home run streak ended at six games.



Vancouver wins 5-4.



Game 3- Hawaii RF Mike Campbell is the Hawaii Tropics all time leader in homer runs. This rubber game with the Vancouver Mounties fans saw him extend his team all time record to 300. Campbell was 3 for 5 with three bombs off his bat, scoring three runs and driving in four.

Rookie SS Logan ‘LJ’ Niles was 2 for 4 with a homer, two runs scored and an RBI.

LF Jose Camacho was 2 for 4 with a homer, two runs scored and an RBI.

SP Jesus Gonzalez navigated his way into and out of trouble for 7 2/3 innings. He gave up five runs on six hits, walked one and struck out five. He improves to 3-2 with a 3/15 ERA.



Hawaii wins 11-5 and wins the series 2-1.



The Tropics host the Long Beach Surfers in a three game series at Diamond Head.



Game 1- The tropics fight their way back from down 3-0 to tie the game 3-3. But the Surfers score three more the next inning to take the opener.

SP Zak ‘Hitman’ Johnson continues to struggle going 4 2/3 innings. He gave up three runs on nine hits, walked two and struck out four.

Logan Niles was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.

DH Ernest McBride was 1 for 4 with a runs scored and an RBI.



Long Beach wins 6-3.



Game 2- The Surfers jump out to a big lead that could not be overcome by the Tropics.

Ernest McBride was 2 for 3 with two homers. He scored two runs and drove in four.

1B Gary Allen was 1 for 4 with a two run homer.

SP Ernie Poole continues to struggle with walks. He walked three in four innings while also giving up eight hits and striking out just two batters. He falls to 2-4 with a 6.41 ERA.



Long Beach wins 9-6.



Game 3- Hawaii’s Alaric Wullenweber did his job and stopped the Surfers from a series sweep of the Tropics. Wullenweber gave up two runs on six hits and struck out eight in 7 1/3 innings of work. He is now 7-1 with a 2.78 ERA.

Mike Campbell was 2 for 4 with a homer, a run and two RBI.



Hawaii wins 5-4 but Long Beach wins the series 2-1.
