The Hawaii Tropics remain at Diamond Head for a three game series against the Valencia Stars.



Game 1- Hawaii SP Jesus Gonzalez was dominant for six innings and every Tropic but 1B Gary Allen get a least one hit as the Tropics roll in the series opener.

Gonzalez allowed 2 runs (one earned) on six hits and a walk. He struck out seven and evened his record at 2-2 with a 2.88 ERA.

2B Carlos Martinez was 2 for 4 with a three run homer and a double. He drove in three runs and scored one.



Hawaii wins 7-2.



Game 2- Hawaii SS Logan ‘LJ’ Niles and DH Ernest McBride each drive in four runs as the Tropics take another from the Stars.

Niles was 1 for 4 with a three run homer.

McBride was 3 for 5 with a double, triple and a two run homer. He also scored two runs.

SP Zak ‘Hitman’ Johnson pitched six innings surrendering four runs on three hits, three walks and struck out six. He improves to 3-2 but has a gaudy 5.87 ERA.



Hawaii wins 11-5.



Game 3- Hawaii Rookie SP Ernie Poole seems to have cooled off. Pool gave up five runs on seven hits, walked two and struck out three in five innings of work. He falls to 2-2 with a 4.00 ERA.

C Ron Shiplack was 4 for 5 with a run scored.

Gary Allen was 4 for 5 with a double and two RBI.

Carlos Martinez was 1 for 4 with two RBI and a run scored.



Valencia wins 8-5 but Hawaii wins the series 2-1.



The Tropics end the home stand with a three game series against the Omaha Cyclones.



Game 1-Hawaii SP Alaric Wullenweber pitched a gem against the Cyclones in the series opener. Wullenweber allowed just one run on four hits, a walk and struck out nine in the complete game. He improved tp 5-1 with a 3.27 ERA.

Logan Niles was 1 for 3 with an RBI.



Hawaii wins 3-1.



Game 2- Hawaii DH Ernest McBride hit a walk off two run homer to send the Tropics fans into a late night frenzy. McBride was 2 for 5 with a run scored and two RBI.

3B Hector Ojeda was 1 for 4 with a double, a run scored and three RBI.

SP Niccolo “Notorious” Destefani escape a bad start with a no decision. Destefani pitched five innings giving up five runs on six hits and a couple of walks. He struck out seven.



Hawaii wins 7-5.



Game 3- The Omaha Cyclones score a run in the eighth to take a slim one run lead but blow the game open in the top of the ninth with a big seven run inning to avoid the sweep.

Ernest McBride was 1 for. 4 with a two run homer.

Carlos Martinez was 1 for 3 with a solo homer.

Jesus Gonzalez had a decent day going six innings giving up three runs on four hits, a couple of walks and struck out eight.



Omaha wins 11-3 but Hawaii wins the series 2-1.
