The Hawaii Tropics announce the extension of Nebraska Winner Alaric Wullenweber to a six year extension.
Wullenweber will receive salaries of $12,650,000 in 2047, $19,280,000 in 2048 and 2049 with a player opt out that year. If he doesn’t out out, he receives that same $19,280,000 for 2050 and 2051. Then in 2052, he has a player option for the same $19,280,00.
There are award bonuses of $950,000 for the Steve Nebraska and $200,000 for an All Star selection.
GM Jim Walker said, “This contract gives us payroll flexibility throughout the length of the contract and gives Alaric the ability to opt out. We can then re-negotiated terms at that time.”
This is a steal for the Tropics as he averages over 7 WAR a season since coming up in 2041.
