At AAA Death Valley the Scorpions opened the season against the Black Hills Rockers. SP Ronnie Sprinkles got the nod for the opening day start. Sprinkles pitched 5 2/3 innings and surrendered two runs on four hits, walked three and struck out two. He picked up the first win of the season.
Offensively, AAAA player Ben Vaive was 5 for 8 in the series with two runs scored and four RBI.
The second series was played at Mars Field against the Martians. Starter Ronnie Sprinkles made his second start of the season going 6 2/3 innings in the series finale. Sprinkle gave up jus one run on five hits, a walk and struck out nine in the no decision.

At AA Carson City, SP Necdet Sunay made two relief appearances going 0-1 with a save 4.05 ERA and 6 2/3 IP. He gave up five hits, a walk and struck out seven.
C Carl Thibodeaux played 3 games going 5 for 13 with four RBI. He is slashing .385/.385/.385.
At Single A Medford, SP Brian Lewis made two starts in the Mules first six games. The first game was a nice 5 2/3 inning effort. He gave up just a run on three hits, walked four and struck out three. The next start was nit as nice. He lasted 2 2/3 innings and gave up six runs on four hits and walked three as the Mules were beaten 14-10.
SP George Williamson made a start going 4 1/3 innings. He surrendered two runs on three hits and struck out six batters.
RP Bob Ryder made one relief appearance going 2 2/3 innings. He allowed no runs, gave up a walk and struck out two batters.
SS Adhyapayana Mehta had a big week for the Mules. Mehta recorded at least one hit in each game he played. He started six games going 10 for 26 with five doubles and five RBI. He is slashing .385/.385/.577 with a 0.3 WAR.
