The Hawaii Tropics kick off the 2046 BBA Season on the road in Seattle. The Trops will play a three game series against the Storm at the King County Complex.



Game 1- Hawaii SP Alaric Wullenweber was dealing in the opener going 7 1/3 innings and surrendered just an unearned run on three hits while racking up six Ks. RP Felipe Lopez came on for the last 1 2/3 innings and gave up a run on two hits, a walk and struck out one.

On offense, DH Ernest McBride starts the season quickly going 2 for 4 with a three run homer. LF Jose Camacho was 3 for 4 with two doubles and two runs scored. Rookie SS Logan ‘LJ’ Niles was 3 for 4 with a run scored and two RBI. He recorded his first hit and RBI in his second at bat. Veteran Carlos Martinez made his Tropics debut going 2 for 3 with two doubles, a run scored, two RBI and a walk.

Hawaii wins 8-2.



Game 2- Seattle Storm SP Yasir bin Lufti kept the Tropics offense in check over 8 2/3 innings to get his first win of the season. bin Lufti allowed three runs on six hits, walked two and struck out seven Tropics hitters.

For Hawaii, SP Zak Johnson was awful in his first start of the season. Johnson went 2 innings and gave up seven runs on six hits and a walk. He struck out one batter in the loss.

Hawaii 1B Gary Allen was 2 for 4 with a double and a homer. He drove in two runs while scoring one.
RF Mike Campbell was 2 for 4 with a solo homer.



Seattle wins 10-3.



Game 3- The Hawaii Tropics received a four hit performance from CF Michel Noel and SP Niccolo “Notorious” Destefani pitched six solid innings as the Tropics win the series.

Noel was 4 for 5 with a run scored and two RBI. He was not as good on the base paths as he was thrown out twice trying to steal. Mike Campbell hit a homer for the second consecutive game. Campbell was 3 for 4 with a run and two RBI. Logan Niles was 2 for 3 with a run scored.



Hawaii wins 7-3 and wins the series 2-1.
