The Hawaii Tropics host the Portland Lumberjacks in a three game series at Diamond Head.



Game 1- The Tropics take the opener in walk off fashion on a two run double off the bat of C Ron Shiplack. On the mound, the Trops had 4 2/3 innings from SP Bob McConnell. McConnell gave up a run on three hits, walked three and struck out two.

1B Gary Allen was 2 for 4 with a run scored but had his home run streak snapped.



Hawaii wins 2-1.



Game 2- Hawaii SP Alaric Wullenweber struck out 11 in 6 1/3 innings and DH Ernest McBride goes 2 for 3 with a two run homer and two runs scored to lead the Tropics to a win.

CF Manny Garcia was 1 for 4 with a single, a run scored and an RBI.



Hawaii wins 4-2.



Game 3- The Tropics use a bullpen day again but this time it doesn’t pay off. The Lumberjacks score seven runs on fifteen hits and avoid the sweep.

Gary Allen was 1 for 4 with a solo homer.



Portland wins 7-1. Hawaii wins the series 2-1.



The Tropics finish their home stand with a two game series against the Seattle Storm at Diamond Head.



Game 1- The Seattle Storm pummel Hawaii SP Niccolo “Notorious” Destefani for six runs in just two innings of work. He gave up eight hits and three walk while striking out just one batter. He falls to 1-5 on the season with a 4.95 ERA.

3B Fernando Rodriguez was 1 for 3 with a two run homer, a run and three RBI on the day.



Seattle wins 13-3.



Game 2- Tropics SP Zak Johnson allows no runs on three hits and two walks over 6 2/3 innings of work. He struck out five batters and earned his 4th win of the season.

3B Fernando Rodriguez was 1 for 4 with an RBI.

SS Fernando Rodriguez was 2 for 3 with a run and an RBI.

Ron Shiplack was 2 for 3 with a run and an RBI.



Hawaii wins 6-2 and splits the series with Seattle 1-1.
