Franchise moves always intrigue me. You're certainly racking up enough PP's to make a move in a year. Please bear in mind that you would have to remain in the western 1/3 of the continent.

What? West Virginia is not West enough for you??! Just kidding.
I have no idea how to rebuild a team. But I do like the things I can do with PPTs. Just waiting till some terrible contracts expire the next couple years (McGraw, Camarena, Martinez is $27 mil off our back after 2003 )and trying to keep fan interest at 60 or above. And HAW does have great fan loyalty, so that's a plus.

Was the center of the continent a clue for a possible new location? Lebanon, KS is the center but I have to imagine you might be thinking of somewhere in Texas...

hey Rob
It was a reference to "the distance of the franchise from the player's hometown" as far as a factor in successful contract negotiations. Hawaii is ~2200 miles west of the continental US.
A team in Texas would be okay; the league had one in Austin, which relocated to Marquette.
As far as relocation, it costs a lot and would downsize us from a "rather big" market to an "average" market. And at least we have "great" fan loyalty here.
Hey, Rob, you gotta like your "extreme" fan loyalty, which is one of only two teams to have it

Gotcha. I love having such fan loyalty but try to use it in my posts, indicating that the fans are rabid and heavily involved. This puts pressure on me as a rookie GM.
But I'm sure glad to have that loyalty if I'm rebuilding. I've got a lot more guys to ship out. As for Hawaii, with or without a move, it won't be easy but getting out of those contracts will be a huge help.
