Backup C Steffen Peterson was 2 for 4 (single, solo homer) scored a run and drove in two.

Hawaii wins 7-1.

Game 4- Mike Campbell continued his assault on Kernels pitching, hitting 2 more bombs (2 for 5). Campbell scored twice and drove in two RBI. Campbell was helped out by contributions of 3B Leonard Jones. Jones was 3 for 4 (2 singles, 3 run homer) scoring two runs and driving in four to lead the team. He stole his 8th base of the season.

Hawaii wins 11-4 and win the series 3-1.

The Tropics return to the island for a two game series with the Chicago Black Sox at Diamond Head.

Game 2- The Black Sox score two runs in the eighth and two runs in the ninth to sweep the short series with the Trops. Starter Stephen Taub (5 1/3 IP, 2 runs, 5 hits, 3 walks, 5 K) kept the Tropics in the game but Reliever Felipe Lopez (IP, 3 runs, 4 hits and a K) reared his ugly head once more.

Ernest McBride was 2 for 4 (single, solo homer) scored two runs and drove in one.

Mike Campbell was 1 for 3 (2 run homer, walk) but had two uncharacteristically errors.

Chicago wins 6-4 and wins the series 2-0.
