Alright alright, it's early, but how can you not be absolutely thrilled that the Tropics got off to a 5-1 start? Not a Tropics fan you say? That's ok, neither is most of the league. We don't care. How can you when you get to spend half of your season in the beautiful surroundings of Hawaii? Enough said. Here is a glance at the opening week.....

5-1 / 1st / BBA

Apr 2 CAL 5 - 1
Apr 3 CAL 4 - 1

Apr 5 DM 2 - 5
Apr 6 DM 13 - 4
Apr 7 DM 4 - 3

What went right.....

Mike Campbell started hot with three HR's and seven RBI to go with a .364 batting average. CF Matt Clark also started hot, even though many thought he may not be the guy out there under the new GM. He had a game winning HR versus Des Moines on April 7th. Stephen Taub picked up where he left off with two solid starts. All in all a nice way to get the season going.

What went wrong.....

Dave Tallent and Manny Jr are off to slow starts. Manny will be there went it's said and done. Tallent had a rough 2038, but the team is hoping that the move back to third loosens him up a little at the plate. The only other real worry is that the sim may have to be redone due to a lack of players on the waiver wire. Of course we can always use a new guy or two as well.

The week ahead.....
