Where does the team go from here? There is a lot of young talent on the team. Guys like Stephen Taub, Dave Tallent, Ernesto Alfiche, Liam Massey, and others. There is some talent in the minors too. Charlie Iron-Knife, Manuel Aguilar, Jr., Mike Campbell, Lee Morgan to name a few. The team has a young and talented coaching staff, both in Hawaii and throughout the minor league system. Where the team is lacking is in the GM chair. Mike BIeschke just hasn't gotten the job done. Whether it's signing the right free agent, or upping the right extension, hell even making the right draft picks, there is a lot to be desired.

"We're doing our end of season evaluations, as we always do", owner John Hough said. "The GM is certainly being evaluated to determine if we need to take this in a different direction". Mike Bieschke was not available for comment, but one does wonder, is he the right man for the job? Many fans feel he isn't. Some aren't sure the GM himself knows. Most feel he is just enjoying the Hawaii weather, rather than the cold of Wisconsin. The truth is that this team shouldn't be far off from contending again. The problem is, will there be any fans still around to notice?

I guess winning a Landis goes only so far with the paying public.
