2032/5 How Do You Spell Relief? S-P-E-N-D

2031 was a great season for the Hawaii Tropics pitching staff. Their overall ERA was good for 4th in the JL. The starters were number two, with the relievers dragging behind. We all knew that wasn't going to fly for Mike Bieschke, as his teams are known for strong pitching and weak offense. Sure enough, money was spent to bring home Chris Lee, as mentioned here. That helps the bullpen by allowing Chris Drover to slide back into relief duty. These additions to the bullpen should make the 2032 version one of the best.

11/29/31 - The 'Bitch' Becomes a Tropic (more info here)

Alfredo Chavez (8/8/8 Ratings) and his career 3.58 ERA was a move to please the fans more than anything. He'll give the Tropics a nice arm in late innings, and especially to lessen the pain if Lawrence Stokes (9/7/7 Ratings) struggles as the closer. Chavez figures to do very well, due to the fact that Hawaii has some stellar infield defense to scoop up the ground balls that he'll induce.

12/9/31 - Jose Garcia Inks a 3 yr Deal in Hawaii

Jose Garcia (8/7/9 Ratings) figures to fill a middle relief role for Hawaii over the next few seasons. He is especially tough on RH batters, but can hold his own against lefties. Garcia bring with him a career 3.56 ERA and is also a guy that is very popular with the fans. He won't induce ground balls at a high rate, but his nasty slider will help alleviate some of that pain.

1/1/32 - Feliciano Strikes Gold on the Islands
Jesus Feliciano (9/7/9 Ratings) is another guy that will probably be more of a middle reliever in 2032. He does have 96 career saves though, so he could help there too, or as a setup guy. One place for sure he will help is in the clubhouse, where most players look up to him as an example of how to act like a big leaguer. The fans will love him too.

With holdovers like Lawrence Stokes (9/7/7 Ratings), Miguel Lara (6/9/9 Ratings), Chris Drover (8/7/8 Ratings), and Antonio Cardenas (9/6/7 Ratings), the Tropics are sending a message that pitching is what they are going to use to hopefully push them into the playoffs. If they can get six solid innings from their starters, it may be tough to tack on any runs on this pen. That's something that the team's management is hoping anyway.

Yes, the Tropic bullpen is going to be very good.
