The Tropics pull into a tie with the Lumberjacks after taking the series opener. Hawaii starter Harry Spurlock gave up an unearned run on just four hits, walked two and fanned five in 6.1 innings to earn the win. Utkan Gocek earned the 12th save of the season with 1.2 scoreless innings allowing just a hit with two Ks.
On offense, Eric Owens flexed his muscles going 2 for 4 with two homers (12), three RBI and scored twice. Arata Ine was 1 for 3 with a walk and scored a run.

Lumberjacks starter Murali Patachli tossed six scoreless innings allowing the Trops offense just three hits while striking out five batters. Ross Brown came on in relief and allowed Hawaii just one hit, walked one and struck out one to preserve the shutout.
Trops starter took the loss after pitching well allowing a run on five hits with seven Ks in 4.1 innings. He falls to 6-11 with a 3.98 ERA. The bullpen let the game get away from the Tropics giving up five runs over 3.1 innings.
The Trops offense produced just four hits and worked a walk, struck out six times and left nine baserunners. Antonio Gonzalez had two of the four hits with a single and a double (6). Arata Ine added a double (16) while going 1 for 4.

The Portland Lumberjacks hammer Tropics starter Buwono Mainaky for the 2nd time in a month to take a 2-1 series lead. Mainaky gave up seven runs on ten hits with four of those hits being homers. He walked one and struck out three in 4.2 innings and falls to 5-3 with a 4.31 ERA. In his two starts versus Portland, Mainaky has surrendered 13 runs on 17 hits with 6 homers in 8.1 innings.
Harry Surface was 2 for 5 with a double (32), scored a run and drove in a run. Miguel ‘Thrillseeker’ Martinez was 1 for 3 with a walk, triple (5) and scored a run.

Hawaii drops yet another one-run game as the offense disappoints this time. Trops starter Nalany Ahotaein tossed 5.1 scoreless innings giving up three hits and struck out three in a no decision. Reliever Utkan Gocek blew his 7th save allowing a solo homer in two innings to take the loss and fall to 7-4.
Hawaii’s lone run came on a Jorge Dodd double (26) that scored Vicente ‘Yogi’ Martinez. Martinez was 1 for 4 with a double (37).
The Portland Lumberjacks win the four-game series 3-1 and take the season series over Hawaii 9-5.
