The Hawaii offense hits three homers and scores three runs while starter Semih Gurani gives up just a run on six hits in five innings. Gurani struck out one batter and earbed his 1st win of the season. Jesus Rios picthed two scoreless innings giving up a hit and fanned three batters. Gheorghe Sollolovici earned his 1st save after throwing two clean innings with two Ks.
The Trops had homers from Mitch Wareham (3), Vincente Mendez (1) and Enrique Mendoza (2). Wareham was 3 for 4 with a three-run blast in the 8th inning. Mendez was 2 for 4 with a solo homer in the 3rd inning and Enrique Mendoza was 2 for 4 with a two-run shot in the 4th.

The Hawaii bullpen has an off day as the Mounties rack up seven of their ten runs off the ‘pen. ‘Crawdad’ took the loss after he gave up two homers and recorded just two outs. Mark ‘Deathblow’ Wells gave up two more runs and a homer in 1.2 innings. Sollomovici gave up a solo blast and Bill Phillips gave up a run on 2/3 of an inning.
1B John Harris has had a slow start to the season but was 1 for 4 with a solo homer in the 2nd inning. Jose Ordonez was 1 for 4 with a two-run homer in the 3rd inning. Vincente Mendez was 1 for 4 with a double (5), two RBI and scored a run.

The Trops give up three runs in the 6th but respond with two in the bottom of the inning to take back the lead. The bullpen responds with zeroes this time to get Hawaii the win. Carlos Shumann put the Trops back on top with an RBI double. He was 1 for 5, stole a base (3) and scored a run. Backup outfielder Atsushi Gato was 1 for 3 with a solo homer that tied the game in the 6th.
Niegloslaw Woywitka made the start for Hawaii and allowed his first earned run of the season in five innings of work. He issued three walks, gave up a hit and struck out two in a no decision. Utkan Gocek earned the win with 1.2 scoreless innings whole walking one ans striking out two. Westbrooks finished the game off with 1.2 clean innings for the save.
Hawaii wins the series 2-1.
