Campos Rumored to Return

After considerable consternation, and holding several sessions with the team’s pitching staff, the final decision seems to have been made in favor of local legend Gabriel Campos. The career-long associate of the franchise has been under some question about returning, as the club has had Ricardo Diz coaching in AAA for some time.
“It’s not so much that the fans want Gabriel over anyone else, or that they want Ricardo over anyone else,” said GM Ron Collins in an interview early last month as the team was negotiating this tenuous slope. “It’s that we’ve got two fantastic representatives of the team to deal with.”
Leaks from team insiders today, however, say that Full Pack Campos will be back at the help of the staff come 2056. No numbers have been discussed, but it’s known that the coach was making a number in the area code of $700K at the end of this deal, and that the new contract will come with sweeteners.
