44.26 Bunty, What to do?
May 26, 2044 | Mad Popes Record: 17-33, 15 1/2 GB, 1-6 last sim

What in Camacho's great, green earth will the Sacramento Mad Popes do with Beauregard "Bunty" McBunterson? Drafted in the second round in 2041, the once highly touted unicorn was the pearl of the organization. Unfortunately, the lump demon took hold of his ratings and dropped his potentials from 6/3/2/5/9 to 3/2/1/4/8, but his speed increased and his ridiculous 12 bunt for hit rating remained.
Despite the drop in potentials, Bunty has puttered through the minor league ranks, putting up solid, workmanlike numbers:
Again, what do you do with this guy? He can adequately play second base at the BBA level. His left-handed bat plays well for our platoon heavy league. He'll likely be promoted to AAA next year, and, if his play remains consistent, how does Sacramento not give this unicorn a shot?
Comments welcome.

C’mon, he’s got a 12 bunt for hit rating. You’ve gotta give him a shot. He’s a legend in your own mind!

Give him a shot! Its not like it will cost you a shot at the Landis next year. Worst that could happen is you end up with a better slot in the draft (or worse, depending on how you like to look at it. Here in Charlotte, we try to make it a positive thing.)

I do appreciate two Frick teams making the case for him to be playing in the majors.

I find it appropriate that the team who specializes in not getting hits is advocating for a guy like bunty.

Re: 44.26 Bunty, What to do?
Bunty is the saddest result of a custom ammy I have ever had or will ever have. I will never again coin a moniker that good, that is both on the nose and odd for an odd player, who is odd in a very interesting way, and makes you wonder about how things work. What could have Bunty have been? To simply "make another" seems unfair, as he would never be Bunty. Just a pale imitation.
