What in the name of all that's good and holy in the world (which is Camacho, of course, for the uninitiated) has Shoeless gone and done? News broke earlier this afternoon that the Mad Popes traded Frick League wins leader from a year ago and team ace, Dani Garcia, to the Montreal Blazers for three hopeless prospects -- 21-year-old southpaw Matt McCartney and two young International Complex guys, OF Wasim Ala' and IF Heng-zong Guan.

"Dani felt the direction we were headed was not the direction he wanted to go," said Shoeless via teleconference. "So, we shopped him a bit and found a buyer. Everyone knows we go the direction of The Right WindTM."

As far as this columnist is concerned, the only wind in this whole ordeal is the gusts flying from Shoeless' lunatic mouth. The dealing of Garcia this early in the season is a clear message to the league and the Mad Pope fan base that Sacramento is in free fall with the bottom of the pit still far out of view.

"When does community action television begin showing the Sacramento Kubb Tournament?" Season ticket holder Margie Delangalowitzki asked. "There's no reason to go to Mad Popes games anymore."

Donkeagle Press' top unpaid intern, Wasim Jaffar, Jr., did an extensive review of the three prospects coming to the Sacramento organization. His findings were that Shoeless is a moron. As a rival team's news outlet reported, this organization is enamored with quad-A talent, and the new guys look to fit that mold well.
