While most in the BBA were celebrating the two no-hitters pitched by Yellow Springs and Hawaii on April 27, the Sacramento Mad Popes organization was humbly congratulating AAA Black Hills' starting pitcher, Kashyap Subramanyan on his own no-hitter against the hapless Winnipeg Goldeyes on April 24th. The minor league southpaw veteran faced just 27 batters, striking out four, but coming up short on his bid for a perfect game due to hitting Goldeye centerfielder Alejandro Montoya with a pitch in the third inning. Montoya was caught stealing later in the inning.

"Camacho was with me today," Subramanyan said after the game. "I felt his presence in every pitch I threw."

Subramanyan, a loyal disciple of the Camacho Order, converted to the one faith, saving his soul, through Order members within the Pope organization. He is currently a Level 3 Donkeagle Caretaker out of Camacho Order #15.

"I am ashamed I did not maim that treacherous Alejandro Montoya with the pitch, as I was ordered," said Subramanyan, touching his crotch to ward off any evil spirits who may have been aroused by speaking Montonya's name. "May his soul be torn to shreds by 1000 donkeagles. May his blackened heart beat no more."

Black Hills sits atop the Rupert Horn West Coast standings at 16-9.

Definitely well grounded. He'll probably begin a school of philosophy when he's out of baseball, which could be ... um ...
