43.12 Gracia Named Best 38-Year-Old Pitcher Ever by Rival

SACRAMENTO (AP) -- Even stout rivals were aware of the historic season Mad Popes' southpaw, Luis Gracia put together in 2043.

"(Gracia pitched) the best age 38 season in history," said San Fernando General Manager, Randy Weigand. Weigand made mention of Gracia's advanced BBA age of 38 years as a dominant starting pitcher, a feat rarely seen in highs and lows of the BBA development engine.

Gracia was tied for most wins in the Frick with 17. He led the league in ERA at 2.64 and also in BB/9 at 0.8. Despite the historic season, Gracia is being all but overlooked for the Frick's Nebraska award, with rival GMs spouting nerd-filled saber-metric data and the love of Hawaii ace and 23 year old youngster, Al Wullenweber.

"Sure, I guess those morons can vote for whoever the hell they want," said a defiant GM Shoeless. "Everyone knows if they could hand the ball to one guy to win them a game, they'd pick Gracia in a heartbeat. If they tell you otherwise, they're drunker than that fool from Madison on a Tuesday night."
