The California Crusaders hired the former general manager of the Chicago Black Sox for a new position within the organization titled, Assistant Executor of The Right WindTM.
Vic Caleca
"Look. You guys can ask me questions all day long about my time in Chicago and my dealings with that cockroach in the owner's suite," said a defiant Caleca. "But, I'm just happy to have landed on my feet in one of the best and well run organizations in all the Brewster."
Details on the day to day work the new position entails is unclear, but the position was envisioned and signed off by Assistant General Manager Anton Vogts. Questions circulate whether General Manager Shoeless is aware of the hire. Representatives of the organization refused to answer questions on Shoeless or Vogts, instead, focusing on Caleca.
"Negotiations with Vic were quick and painless," said Linda Ungerby, Public Relations Specialist with the Crusaders. "Honestly, I don't even think we're paying him. He just wanted out of, what (Caleca) called, 'that cesspool'."
Caleca begins his new role in January as his new office is not completed.
