"Damn you, Lopez! Will you ever quit hitting?"

These were the words GM Shoeless said when asked about Philipsburg first baseman, José López. The El Salvador native was a third round pick in the nauseatingly awful 2040 Amateur Draft and has exceeded expectations with his bat. This season, Lopez slashed a fantastic .345/.418/.558, resulting in an OPS+ of 158.

"I really have no idea what to do with this guy," confessed GM Shoeless. "He doesn't have the power to play first base or DH, but he doesn't have the athletic ability to play anywhere else, but, good god, if he keeps hitting at the next level, likely A ball in Hollywood next season, we'll have to find a spot for him."

Lopez laughed off his General Manager's comments.

"I've been a problem for every adult in my life since as long as I can remember," said Lopez. "I hope to be a huge thorn in Shoeless' side in the coming seasons."

I think he ought to sell programs or peanuts for most of the game and come on as a late innings replacement to grab the winner in close or tied games
