Popes Playing Pepper
with Sai and Aarav
SAI -- Welcome to a special 2040 draft review edition of Triple P. I'm your host, Sai "Young" Ahuji, and with me, as always, is a guy who clearly put on ten pounds since our last episode, Aarav "the Mad, and fat, Pope of Mumbai" Patil.
AARAV -- It's just some water weight.
SAI -- Water weight ... never mind. Making fun of you bores me. Moving on to our special report on the 2040 draft class for our California Crusaders. Wasim Jeffers Jr. is standing by. Wasim?
WASIM -- [On location at the Crusader's batting cages beneath South Pacific Field] Thank you, Sai. I'm here in the bowels of South Pacific field watching our newly designated #3 prospect in our entire organization, catching prospect, Rodrigo Vallés, hit off a tee. And, let me just tell you, this guy, nay, this baseball demi-god, who fell to the Crusaders in the 20th and last round of the draft, 673rd overall, has such an intoxicatingly beautiful swing that almost every single scout I've spoken to sees him as a once in a generation talent. One scout, when asked about Vallés, looked off into the distance and recited the following poem:
A clear sky
stars staring down
A bright moon
night creatures sing,
but still not as beautiful
as Rodrigo Vallés' swing.
Roasting pork
turning over a fire
Fresh banana Bread
made for a king,
but still not as fulfilling
as Rodrigo Vallés' swing.
The drop of a dress
perfect breasts
A sly smile
a provocative fling,
but still not as alluring
as Rodrigo Vallés' swing.
[long pause]
[longer pause]
SAI -- Umm ... Wasim? You still there?
WASIM -- Oh, yes. Yes. Sorry. Rodrigo Vallés was just hitting some baseballs off the tee again.
Rodrigo Vallés
SAI -- Is there any other draftees we should be excited about?
WASIM -- Others? Does one marry his soulmate and wish for another? Does one listen to the laughter of his child and wish for them to cry? Does one eat Fred Holmes' banana bread and wish for saltine crackers?
SAI -- Well, no, obviously.
WASIM -- Then why should we care who else we drafted?
SAI -- Good point, and, with that, I guess, thanks for tuning in, and we'll be seeing you at the ballpark.

hilarious!
One thing that is pretty amazing is that our first round picks in the UMEBA are about equivalent to your 20th round picks. My mouth watered just looking at him.
