Popes Playing Pepper
with Sai and Aarav
SAI -- Welcome to another installment of Triple P. I'm your fallen disciple of Wim Hof and PPP host, Sai "Young" Ahuji, and with me, as always, is former junk-baller, Aarav "the Mad Pope of Mumbai" Patil.
AARAV -- My knuckle-curve was legendary.
SAI -- Yeah, maybe for how far it could travel.
AARAV -- Umm, in 2027, I held a 4.31 ERA in the India Baseball Developmental and Mathematics Tutoring League.
SAI -- Neat. My little sister hit .360 that same year in that league. Let's jump right into tonight's segments:
HOW'S THE POPE'S CRUSADE GOING?
Despite a mediocre week of .500 baseball (3-3), the Crusaders added to their Pacific division lead by a half game, entering September two games up on the Tropics, 2.5 games up on San Fernando, and three games up on Valencia. A disappointing 7-3 loss to white towel-waving Vancouver ended the week on a negative note. Luis Gracia took the loss at home against the Mounties, surrendering five runs over 7 2/3 innings. With the loss, Gracia drops to a disappointing 8-10 on the year, pushes his ERA over 4, and puts into question the big extension the 34 year-old received at the start of the season.
MUSTACHE SPOTLIGHT
Sporting a mustache once voted, "Best Imitation of a South Florida Chopper Cop", Juan Lópes gets the nod as this week's mustache spotlight. Lopez is quietly having a solid season out of the California bullpen, carrying a 3.12 ERA over 34.2 innings.

RIVALRY REPORT
In a great position to win the Frick League's Pacific Division, our own Crusaders may play the role as the evil empire moving into the playoffs. In an unofficial, secretive poll by PPP's top unpaid intern, Wasim Jeffers Jr., no one wants to see a Ted-less California team led by some idiot who can't even make the time to attend a podcast recording, to win the Landis. But, for you kids watching at home -- Remember, evil always wins.
WORDS FROM THE ORACLE
OOOGAGELELADADEDC .... Ngowa .... eDAELAblakeAEAEBQW ... 2039 Landis MVP ... AEABLelaleBAEldael
AARAV -- Did Wasim ever make it out of the Oracle's temple? I haven't seen him since he sent that report.
SAI -- I heard he may have gotten married.
AARAV -- To the Oracle?
SAI -- Maybe. Well, with that mystery unsolved, have a great night, Crusader Fans. We'll be seeing you at the ballpark.
