Pitcher of the sim:
SP Nick Machiavelli
A 2-0 record with a .55 ERA in 16.3 IP. Machiavelli seems to have figured it out and is on pace for his best season ever.
Batter of the sim:
LF Ian Botham
.486 avg in 37 AB's. Botham is having a fine season. I still can't believe he's this good at such a rediculously young age.
The Crusaders continue their recent winning ways with a fine 7-3 record for the sim. This includes a 2-2 split with Vancouver and winning 3 of 4 from Hawaii. The season record stands at 60-59 and while we are still stuck in 3rd place we have closed the gap to 5 games for the division and only 4 games for the wildcard. The Crusaders now boast a winning record for the first time this season since winning on Opening Day.
My starting rotation seems to have really pulled it together and they are starting to dominate. The pitching and defense of the Crusaders currently ranks first in the Johnson League in 8 out of the 11 categories. Thats in stark contrast to my offense which ranks very low in almost all of the batting categories. However lately my lineup has been getting it done. If the offense continues this hot streak and the pitching holds its own, its not crazy to think i could make the playoffs. At the very least my team should make some noise and be setup quite nicely for the next few years.
