Jorge Castillo - The second year 1B/DH had a solid month of May even when his team struggled mightily to score runs during the month. For May he finished batting .288 with 3 HRs and 6 RBI while posting a .935 OPS.
May 2017 Pitcher of the Month
Allen Kennedy - The veteran SP for the Crusaders led the way in May going 3-0 in 6 starts with a 2.38 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP. Crusader reliever Maurice Goodgame was very good during the month as well going 1-0 in 12 games with a 0.77 while posting an incredible 0.69 WHIP.
May 2017 Dud of the Month
Paul Crosby - The young OF who was acquired in April for Bob White was downright awful in hist first month for the Crusaders. In May he hit only .096 with 0 HRs and 1 RBI while posting a ghastly .295 OPS.
May 2017 Minor League Hitter of the Month
Roberto Vázquez - In his second month at the AAA level (Clash City), the young OF was incredible hitting .368 with 9 HRs and 21 RBI while posting a 1.155 OPS. Even though he isn't seen as a "top prospect", if he keeps putting up these types of numbers he may find his way on the big league team.
May 2017 Minor League Pitcher of the Month
Perry Jennings - The veteran minor leaguer in his sixth season with Clash City (AAA) was crazy good during May. He went 6-0 in 6 starts with a 2.10 ERA while posting a 0.90 WHIP.
