Mark Rose - Even though he is slotted in to the #5 spot in the rotation, Rose pitched in April like he was the ace of the staff. In April he went 4-0 in 5 starts with a 1.52 ERA and a 0.75 WHIP while averaging over 8 IP per start.
April 2017 Dud of the Month
Bob White - The veteran OF started the season off poorly hitting only .188 with 1 HR and 7 RBI while posting a sickly .509 OPS. Before the month had ended the Crusaders shipped him to Seattle mainly as a salary dump.
April 2017 Minor League Hitter of the Month
Larry Larson - The 23-year old slugging 1B made a splash in his first month at AAA Clash City. For the month he hit .301 with 10 HRs and 28 RBI while posting a .966 OPS. Although there are a lot of big hitting 1B/DH in front of him he is trying to make a case for some playing time at the big league level.
April 2017 Minor League Pitcher of the Month
Javier Castillo - In his first month with Compton (AA), Castillo posted a solid month for the Crush. In April he went 3-0 in 3 starts with a 2.49 ERA while posting a 1.15 WHIP. Although he doesn't project to be a Major League contributor, the organization has seen him gradually get better and improve his skills.
