Due to Hawaii and Madison's apparent PP war, I have decided its time to start another regular entry to my team news. I decided to go with some players of the month and I will backdate this to the beginning of this year. Each month I will elect a starting pitcher, a reliever, an infielder and an outfielder. Sometimes a sim by sim focus is too narrow but a monthly focus can really shed some light on just who my most steady players are and also show some guys who maybe had a surprise stretch in the limelight. So without further delay here are the players of the month for April.
April was a great month for Cali. We went 20-7 to start out the season on the right foot. The players listed below were the major contributors to our great start.
Starter of the Month:
Steve Taub
In 5 games started he was 3-0 with a 1.13 ERA in 40 IP giving him an average of 8 IP per game. He notched 40 K's to go against only 8 walks. His WHIP was a rediculous .70.
Reliever of the Month:
Austin Horta
In 11 games he was 1-0 with 1 Save and a 0.00 ERA. He notched 6 K's to go against 3 walks. His WHIP was a tidy .88.
Infielder of the Month:
Jacinto Merino Jr
He appeared in 26 games hitting .301/.347/.540/.887 in 113 AB's. He blasted 6 HR's to power his way to a total of 19 RBI.
Outfielder of the Month:
Sadaharu Oh Jr
He appeared in 21 games hitting .400/.505/.713/1.218 in 80 AB's. He blasted 4 HR's to power his way to a total of 15 RBI.

There is no war between HAW and MAD over PPTs. The only one who has framed the issue in terms of competition has been Chris.
I'm not interested in setting or breaking records--just writing and helping my team any way I can.
I'm glad you've decided to do more posting, though, Cali Manager, er, Brett.
