The Talons have still not been able to play over .500 ball. With a record of 52-55, Phoenix is 6.5 games behind Chicago. We did make some moves as the deadline approached starting with adding a pitcher. Ramon Cisneros was brought in to help what can only be described as a horrible rotation. Cisneros has been pretty much par for the coarse witht he rest of the starters, having an ERA of 5.26 with Phoenix and a split record of 2-2. We are hoping Ramon can get back to his 1995 form where he tallied up 16 win and a 3.66 ERA spread out amongst 3 teams.

The most recent move brought in more offense in the form of 1B Larry Wilkes. Wilkes is hitting .372 with 21HR's and 80 RBI's in AAA for New Orleans. Unable to make room for him in the Big Easy, Phoenix will give him his shot in the bigs. Wilkes should be a nice addition to an already potent offense.

Joe Belinda continues to make JL pitchers his bitches. With a league leading 48 HR's and 126 RBI's, he doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon.

The Talons are hoping to gain some ground on Chicago in the next sim, but a run at the division title may be too little too late.
