]Yellow Springs, OH – The Yellow Springs Nine announced that long-time rotation stalwart, Carlos Valle, has decided to retire. Valle, 40, had a 19-year career in the BBA, with all but one of them featuring Valle wearing his iconic #28 on his back.

"This number was so important to me and my time here," said Valle as part of his statement, "that I actually wouldn't use it when I played with Hawaii. I needed the space from my life here in Yellow Springs. I couldn't be happier that Mac [GM Rob McMonigal] and Niles [Omaha GM Justin Niles] made this happen for me. I didn't realize how much I wanted to end my career with the Nine until I got the call."

"It was funny, we were wrapping up the deal to send Cordova over, giving him a chance at a playoff run, and Just says to me, 'If you want, we can add Carlos to the deal.' It took me all of five seconds to agree. I couldn't believe he was being that generous to Valle, to the fans in our city, and, honestly, to me, ha ha ha!"

The reunion found Valle back in the starting rotation of his old team, starting 3 games and going 1-1 with a 3.38 ERA in sixteen innings. But that one win was extremely important – it marked the 250th win in a Yellow Springs uniform for the iconic pitcher. He finished with 263 wins overall, a 3.42 ERA, 2,969 strikeouts and a career WAR of 80.7. A 5-time wins leader in the BBA (including 4 straight from 2039 to 2042), Valle's likely punched a ticket to the Hall,

He shouldn't have long to wait.

Yeah I would think so as well but we'll see!
300 Wins and 3,000 strikeouts would have made it 100% no questions asked but I hope even this stingy lot sees to voting him in first ballot.

Only 1 person in the history of the BBA has 300 wins (and Steve Nebraska probably shouldn't count for a lot of reasons), and with Valle 4th at 263 he should (and will) be in easily.

I haven't run the numbers, but I would guess that 225 (done by 24 guys in BBA history) is our version of 300 wins.

If Carlos Valle isn't in the Hall of Fame, then the Hall of Fame has no purpose. :)

I'm almost certain to vote Valle in. 10 all-star selections and 3 Nebraska's don't happen by accident, and he had plenty of dominant seasons.

HOF for sure. That stretch in the middle of his career, and sustained for almost 10 seasons, was absolutely the ticket.

Like you guys could get that lucky for me to quit. With that being said...he looks like a 100% Hall of Famer to me. As typical, once I say yes to someone, I continue to say yes so I will vote for him every year until he gets in (assuming it's not year 1).
