July 28, 2044: Yellow Springs – on a night that was humid enough that the roof was closed on Utopia field, a sold-out Yellow Springs Nine crowd saw their team beat the Chicago Black Sox by a score of seven to nothing. The buzz afterward, however, was all about young picture Dave Lee. The 23 year old took a no hitter into the ninth inning and capped that off with two more outs before Chicago right fielder Sebastian Fredesso lined a double into right field. the crowd gave Lee a standing ovation as manager Sam Brewington walked to the mound to remove his fatigue starter. Lee trew 105 pictures on the night, And struck out ten hitters while walking only two. Roberto Ramirez struck out the last hitter to close out the game.

“It was a great night,” Lee said. “Everything was working And I felt really good.”

Catcher Bruce McKinley was equally as excited. “When you get a man guy who is throwing like that, the game becomes really intense. It's fun to call because then you can fall back on the scouting reports, knowing a guy like Dave can hit his spots with everything makes the game theory of it all that much more amazing.”

McKinley was also the catcher for Carlos Valle’s no hitter earlier in the year, the first such achievement in Yellow Springs history. While Jesus Rodriguez garners much of the playing time the pitching staff has been equally effusive about their love for McKinley. Both are considered among the best defensive catchers in the game. “It's amazing to think that we almost got two in one year,” Brewington said after the game.

The offense was paced by two home runs from Javier Rodriguez and another by Rex Foster. McKinley and Dong-po Thum each contributed doubles that squared runs. Thum also stole his 40th base of the year.
