Mr. Irrelevant Rising On Scouting Charts
April 7, 2044: Yellow Springs – A recent release of advanced metrics places the Yellow Springs Nine at #5 on the overall list for defensive accumen. It's a position the team has been in before--and not that surprising given that the club had Zimmer winners at second and short, and conceivable Zimmmer winners at catcher and in center.
Of a more fun fact nature, though is this: After a weeks's play, the Nine are the only team in the league without a single error made.
That's right. Zero errors.
Pretty danged cool.
"It's not going to last forever," said manger Sam Brewington, "but it's gotten to the point where I'm pretty sure the guy who commits the first error is going to get fined by the team in some fashion or another."
No pressure, though.
