Aztecs introduce new second baseman Randy Wright

Mexico City: The Mexico City Aztecs have made waves across the BBA with the acquisition of Randy Wright, a dynamic infielder and fan favorite who arrives via trade from division rivals, the Las Vegas Hustlers. The move has electrified Aztecs fans, who packed Quetzalcoatl Dome for Wright’s introductory press conference, eager to welcome the newest member of their baseball family.
Wright was shocked to learn about the trade after speaking with his agent. Wright will return to his natural position at second base which is a shift from the shortstop role with Las Vegas. The Aztecs front office believes the move will unlock Wright’s full defensive potential, allowing him to anchor the middle infield for the foreseeable future.
“Second base is where I feel most at home,” Wright said. “I’m ready to bring energy, leadership, and fire to this lineup.”
Wright joins Ross “The Boss” (unofficial nickname) Deville who rotates between DH and Catching. Power hitting right-fielder Steve Lindberg and Erik Vatne, the starting 3rd baseman with Bluebird pedigree.
Fans have responded with overwhelming enthusiasm. Social media lit up with Aztecs pride, and Wright jerseys sold out within hours of hitting team stores. “He’s the spark we needed,” said longtime fan Marisol Vega.
