Trade details:

GM Brandon Tucker: "Olivia, get me GM Matt Recte on line 1"
Special assistant to the GM Olivia Rodriguez: "Sir, are you sure, you have never dealt with Vegas before and with his history, I imagine that might be intimidating"
BT: "No I'm not sure! But I want that damn shortstop, call him"
OR: "Sir, Matt Recte on line 1"
BT: "Hey uh...Matt! How's it going?.....just calling about Randy Wright to beg you to trade....I mean inquire as to what it would take to acquire SS and FAN FAV Randy Wright? any interest in say, Zavala? Gingris?"
GM Matt Recte: "Encarnacion. I want Luis Encarnacion and Yasin Numair, and I'll throw in Bolling from AAA because I feel like it"
BT: (Gulp) "Ah...uh...I wasn't really planning to deal my best prospect and the only left hander in my rotation. Also, I like Bolling but don't want to take on another 40-man player. How about Encarnacion for Wright straight up?" (BBA gods, please let him accept this)
Matt Recte:

BT: uh...ahem...um....maybe throw in former supplemental 1st round starting pitcher Claudio Sanchez?"
MR: "Done". (hangs up)
BT: "Matt? Hello?......"
BT: "Olivia I think I just made my first trade ever with division rival Las Vegas.....I need a shower"
The Mexico City Aztecs have traded 25 year-old LHP Yasin Numair and top prospect 3B Luis Encarnación to the division rival Las Vegas Hustlers.
In return the Aztecs receive the 2054 1st round pick and Fan Favorite SS Randy Wright and former supplemental 1st round pick SP Claudio Sánchez
GM Brandon Tucker had this to say about the trade:
"We feel like Randy gives us a better chance to compete right now. We will be playing him at second base where his ratings are better than shortstop, plus we have Edmond Spits at short. This gives us a solid middle infield for years to come. We haven't decided where to move Zero Dimotsios yet, but he will still be in our plans for the starting lineup. As far as what we gave up, it was very difficult to let go of Encarnacion as we have been grooming him since we signed him in 2061. However, acquiring a solid middle infielder in this league requires capital and we have 3B Banua in our future plans, so we felt we had the depth to move him. We realize he will most likely reach his potential as he is nothing but bumps, but we really wanted Wright.
For Numair, he seems to have stalled out in development with our coaching staff but we are aware of the Vegas black magic that happens with pitchers. In the end we do not believe Numair would reach his potential here but he might be able to after working with the Hustlers coaching staff. We are still working to improve our entire staff from top to bottom and believe in a few years that we will have a very competitive staff"
