The Mexico City Aztecs have hired recently retired player Carlos Olivas to be their pitching coach of the Rookie league Castroville Artichokes.
Olivas pitched for Mexico City from 2049-2061. He finished his career 5th overall in team wins with 124 and 9th in strikeouts with 1,312
The position came available after current pitching coach Jim Simmons was promoted to pitching coach for the reigning Drake League Champs (S A) Tortuga Tides
