Mexico City traded for Outfielder Keith Jahnke and 350k from the Charm City Jimmies in exchange for Jason Bergheimer, Todd Early, and utility infielder Alfredo Rosario.
Bergheimer was going to be released after the season so it was a trade for the two prospects. Early was a 4th round pick in this year's draft and is poised to be an amazing defensive catcher, but his offensive potential is lacking. The Aztecs have 20 year old ross deville taking over at Catcher for the soon to be departed Abid Khakakhel
Jahnke's better CF days are behind him but he will play left field for the Aztecs which moves Nestor Saatsakis into the DH spot.
There have been a flurry of big trades approaching the deadline this year.
The Aztecs may not be done either, as it is rumored they have listed fan favorite and Aztec's legend Dave Corfield on the trading block hoping that he will waive his No Trade Clause
But even after all these last-minute trades, it's doubtful any of them will matter because in the end it's still Nashville's world, and we all just live in it.
