2051.4: One Sim Left...

Post by Rubaboo » Tue Aug 02, 2022 9:13 am

Current Position: 103-56, 1st Place, JL Frontier
Lay of the Land: Clinched JL Frontier, 2 Games back of New Orleans for the JL's #1 Seed.
Last Sim Results: 4-1
9/22: @ Las Vegas - L, 1-15
9/23: vs Calgary - W, 5-1
9/24: vs Calgary - W, 6-2
9/25: vs Calgary - W, 7-4
9/26: vs Calgary - W, 6-3

GM Commentary:
Pasted by Vegas on game 1 feels bad but 4-1 is a good result, especially since we gained a game on the Crawdads, who finally managed to lose a couple of contests. Running them down would be the chef's kiss on what has been a pretty darned successful regular season.

Upcoming Schedule (Season Head to Head):
9/27: vs Boise (8-3)
9/28: vs Boise (8-3)
9/29: vs Boise (8-3)

GM Commentary:
Finishing out 2051 with a series at home against the Spuds. If we can sweep, we might be able to overtake New Orleans who... hosts Brooklyn over the last 3 days of the season. Well... Ok... Go Robins? Anyway, the rotation should be able to run through so that we can have Corfield pitch Game 1 of the postseason which is a luxury we haven't been able to capitalize on particularly well over the last couple seasons, either due to battling until the last day or GM error or whatever.

Confidence Rating:
8.5, up from 8.25. We've been great through August and September. Keeping the momentum going into October is priority one. Also gotta remind myself not to over think. Keep it simple. Do the things that got us here. All of those 'Don't fuck it up' cliches. I like where we're at, which is a strange feeling somehow. I'm excited for the playoffs. Go Aztecs!

Charlotte tried their best, going 2-2 against NO! BTW - the Cougars are 8-6 versus the Crawdads this season. (And 5-3 against the Aztecs, but we wont mention that.)

The Charlotte Cougars: As good against Mexico City as the Montreal Blazers!
