Aztec slugger Jose Estrada is scheduled to return from a foot injury that has sidelined since July 22nd and the team couldn't be happier to have him back.

"We're obviously excited to have Jose coming back into the lineup." said Aztec manager Jorge Acevedo, "It gives our order a different look, a different threat when he's in versus when he's not. I know he's been itching to play and he will hopefully hit the ground running for us."

The Aztecs, in Estrada's absence, posted an 11-9 record, far off the pace that they'd been blazing throughout the season, and have ceded the Sun Belt lead to a red-hot Las Vegas team who just happens to be visiting Mexico City for a big 4 game set. The Aztecs also have dates at Jacksonville and Phoenix as well as hosting San Antonio before the month is out.

Estrada had the following to say about his return: "I'm disappointed to be missing the first two against the Hustlers, but I'm excited to be ready to go. I feel good, the foot is fine, very ready to go. It's been very hard to be stuck watching the boys battle without me, very frustrating. Looking forward to lacing them up and getting out there."

The Aztecs will hope that Estrada takes his pent up frustrations out on some baseballs delivered by division rivals over the next two weeks as the division is a very tight race with the calendar turning to September.
