The Mexico City Aztecs made a move on the personnel front today, announcing that they have agreed to terms with longtime third baseman Jorge Castellanos on a deal that will make him the next hitting coach of the franchise's Spike Nolan League affiliate, the Bismarck Pioneers. "I'm excited for this opportunity," said Castellanos, "I obviously spent alot of years with his franchise, alot of great years. I'm happy to get back and excited to work with the up and comers to hopefully give them the same opportunity that I had, to play many years for a first class organization."

The man frequently referred to around the organization as Roomba, arrived with the then Omaha Barnstormers franchise in a trade with the Des Moines Kernels as a 17 year old prospect fresh out of the Kernels' international complex. He made his BBA debut at in 2022 at the age of 21 and played with the Barnstormers/Aztecs until the end of 2033. He played 2034 in Nashville before signing a tryout contract back with the Aztecs in 2035. He was ultimately released by the Aztecs after failing to make the roster in 2035 and played the rest of the season in the Las Vegas system. He retired after the 2035 season.

He was an All-Star in 2027 and 2031 for the Barnstormers and won Zimmer awards in 2027 and 2028 at 3B. He ranks among the top 10 on the Mexico City career leaderboards in the following categories:

I was a fan of Roomba. He was sitting on the trade block for like 3 straight seasons when I had Blackwell and Soto maning the corners. Everytime I saw his name I tried to figure out a way to make room for him. It never happened.
