2034.3: Mexico City Exploring Restructure

Reports out of Mexico City from sources close to the team indicate that the Aztecs are looking to restructure their minor league system by relocating at least one team. The commonality in all the reports is that the team's AAA affiliate in Halifax is almost certain to be relocated before play begins in 2034.

"It's about logistics," said a team source, "How do you expect a guy to get a call-up, travel 2700 miles and play the next day? It's an asinine setup and needs to be changed. Now."

The team has reportedly put out feelers in the southern US and northern Mexico looking for bids from interested cities. No reports of early frontrunners just yet but the team is expected to move quickly once initial proposals are heard.

I've been debating that for YS, too. Our minor league system is still geared toward the days when the parent was in Phoenix.

Mine's just all over. Halifax didn't make sense for Omaha either but I liked the Fighting Scots nickname so I just rolled with it. Definitely time for a change now though.
