


18-year-old Pitcher Husayn Labid for the Castroville Fighting Artichokes entered the Development program to work on improving his curveball. Labid worked with Aztec's pitching coach Ray Whitney to improve his release point. The results were positive, as his current and potential curveball stuff improve by 1.

First baseman Caius Dragan completed his offseason training geared toward improving gap power.
He worked hard with Aztec's hitting coach Shunnar Sharif. Sharif worked with him on improving the fluidity of his swing and the extension of his hands through the zone. While it's difficult to measure the exact changes, coach Sharif believes his gap power is noticeably stronger now.

Catcher Ross Deville of the Los Cabos Corsairs in AAA spent his time in the facility working on his plate discipline. He was able to improve his patience at the plate by working on his approach, his pregame planning methods, and breathing out of his left eyelid. His eye rating is estimated to have improved by 1.

Mexico City Aztec 1B Juan Schorr was sent to the lab to work on his bat speed in an effort to improve his power. He entered the lab as the new starter at 1B after the departure of long time Aztec F.Moreno but fell into the backup role after the acquisition of Wafid Bishr. The training went well but the power improvement was said to be <1.

S A Tortuga Tides SP Jose Salinas entered the facility with the goal of giving up less home runs in 2061 by improving his pitch movement. He was able to increase the sharpness of his off speed pitches by slightly altering his grip. His movement rating has improved by 1.
Several players saw no improvement but will continue to work with coaches during the season.
