2063.15 - Getries take on SIM #4

Post by CTBrewCrew » Mon Jun 02, 2025 9:28 am

🐺--- 🐺
Record This Week: 3-4 | Overall: 11-15

Oh, honey.

We started hot, winning three straight and making it look like we had turned a corner—but then the baseball gods slammed the brakes on that joy ride and made us eat a four-game losing streak for dessert. April might not be done, but I sure am with these one-run losses.

Let’s recap the rollercoaster:

Code: Select all

Date Opponent Score Record Winner Loser Save Attendance
April 23 DM 1 - 3 8-12 Garth Dobbs Tyler Murray Scott Everard 21,635
April 24 DM 6 - 1 9-12 Chris Stout Ken Haworth None 23,048
April 25 YS9 3 - 2 10-12 Clint Thomas Héctor Delgado Alejandro Ramiraze 22,779
April 26 YS9 6 - 7 10-13 Jesús Ríos Frank Ostrom Nasir al Din bin Sahir 24,919
April 27 YS9 6 - 3 11-13 Mark Moore Cory McGuire Alejandro Ramiraze 27,972
April 28 @TWC 5 - 6 11-14 Jorge Quiñones Mark Moore None 64,564
April 29 @TWC 4 - 6 11-15 Rubén Flores Harry Dunbar Andrés Gonzáles 59,200
Yes, we beat the death metal out of DM and split a barnburner with YS9, but Twin Cities gave us nothing but heartache and overly expensive concessions.

🌟 Rookies & Rising Stars 🌟

👶 Rookie Debut
  • RP Alejandro Ramiraze made his long-awaited debut:
    2.0 IP • 0 ER • 1 K • 0 BB • 0 H

Welcome to The Show, kid. You've got ice in your veins and velocity in your soul.

🎉 Milestone Alert
  • Boyd Fitzgerald, our 19-year-old future heartbreaker at short, crushed his first dinger. Kid’s got whip in that swing and a smirk I don’t trust.
📉 Injury Report

Kevin Edwards (RP): Out 2 months with elbow inflammation.
You can't throw heat if the hinges are squeaking. Rest up, Kev.

🥩 Prime Cuts (Hot Hitters)
  • Player AVG OPS HR RBI
  • Boyd Fitzgerald .364 1.073 2 4
Also shoutout to Esteban Paz for making the most of his 4 plate appearances—he slugged 2.000. I don’t know what he’s drinking but I want two.

🎯 On the Bump

Starters

Bullpen Notes
  • Alejandro Ramiraze is smooth as silk and twice as strong.
  • Jugnu Sampath struggled with command, and we’re gonna have to whisper some sweet control into his ear next sim.
🚜 Down on the Farm

Top Bats:
  • Name Level AVG OPS HR RBI
Top Arms:
  • Name Level IP ER K ERA
Prospects are making noise. Now if only I could get them to show up in our lineup without a federal subpoena.

Final Thought from Gertie:
"Three wins and four heartbreaks. Welcome to the life of a Wolves fan. We may be clawing uphill, but the fight is in us. Don’t count us out, sugar—not this early, and never in Shotz Stadium."

See y’all in May.
