2054.19 - Madison Wolves Pitcher Reynold Voermans Throws First No-Hitter in Team History
Madison, WI - On September 14th, 2054,
32-year-old starting pitcher Reynold Voermans of the Madison Wolves made history by throwing the first no-hitter in the team's history since the league started tracking the accomplishment in 1995. The Wolves defeated the Chicago Black Sox 9-0 in the home game, with Voermans pitching all nine innings and striking out 6 batters and walking 3.
Voermans, who has been with the Wolves since 2053, (signing a 4-year deal worth 16.9m) was thrilled with the accomplishment. "It's a dream come true," he said. "I just wish I was able to do this in front of our fans, it's something I'll never forget. It's a testament to all the hard work we've put in as a team."
The Wolves General Manager, Mike Simon, announced that the ball used in the game will be displayed in the Wolves Hall of Fame. "Reynold's performance was truly remarkable, and we're proud to have him as a member of our team," said Simon. "This ball represents a significant milestone in Wolves history, and we're honored to have it on display for our fans to see."
The Wolves had a strong offensive game as well, with four home runs and 11 hits total. Outfielder M. Shimizu led the team with two home runs and two hits. L. Alonzo hit a grand slam in the seventh inning to give the Wolves a comfortable lead.
The Wolves have had a successful season since the All-Star break, with a record of 79-69 and still a chance to make the playoffs. Voermans' no-hitter has given the team an extra boost of momentum as they head into the final stretch of the season.

Hopefully the law of averages means he will suck the rest of the way and Madison misses the playoffs.
