Game 1
Second time out for Gerald Siezemore, and its the same result, 3.2 IP allowing 5 runs. "This is the way you go about getting extended at the end of the season" GM Simon said. Sizemore is 0-2 with a 10.80 ERA after 8.1 innings. Allende & Shimizu led the way offensvily in the game going 3-4 and 2-4 respectively. This put the Wolves at 6-6 for the first 12 games of May. Final Score: Wolves 3 - Tropics - 5

Game 2
Game two brings a game vs the division leader and Brewster Champions Nashville Bluebirds. The matchup brought Miyamoto (2-3) vs Manuel Garcia (4-2). Miyamoto pitched a strong game against the Bluebirds, leading the Wolves to victory, 2-1. In 6.1 innings, Miyamoto surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The Wolves are now 17-20, while the Bluebirds fall to 27-12. Manobu Shimizu, the two-time Sawyer Silk Sliver Slugger Trophy winner , had a direct impact on the outcome. Shimizu contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Madison up, 2-0. Even with committing 2 errors in the game the Wolves were still able to pull this one out. Final Score: Wolves 2 - Bluebirds - 1

Game 3
In a game that saw a 40 minute rain delay in the 4th inning the Wolves and 'Birds faced off in the final game of this two game series. Lenard Thornton (2-2) was up against Adrian Custello (5-0). Custello pitched a gem, Thornton did not. Thornton allowed 5 runs and 7 hits over 5 IP. The Wolves batters were only able to muster 6 hits and one run vs Custello. The team once again could not get that timely hit that it needed leaving 3 runner's in scoring position with 2 outs (Wan 2 & Alonzo 1). Alonzo is struggling on the season, and there are rumblings of him being demoted AAA to allow him to work on his swing. Final Score: Wolves 2 - Bluebirds - 6

Game 4
The weather seems to have followed the Wolves back up to Shotz Stadium as the scheduled game was rained out and a double-header was quickly scheduled for Wednesday. In game one of the doubleheaders saw the Wolves fall to the much-improved River Monsters. One game now separates these two in the standings. The River Monsters jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning off of starter Siezemore. (I think if I roll out Shepard he will have better a better game even with a busted Labrum). The only bright spot the game for the Wolves was that Salvadore Allende ties the teams record for walks in a game. He walked 4 times in his 5 plate appearences. Of those 4 times on base, he scored 0 times.
Final Score: Wolves 3 - River Monsters - 6

Game 5
In game two of the double dip Wednesday night extravaganza saw 41,314 fans watch Cater Morris pull his head out of his a** and pitch a pretty decent game. Allowing 4 hits and 2 runs over 6 innings. The Wolves eventually won on a walk off, 4-3. The game was highlighted by the performance of both Madison pitchers Carter Morris and Senen Subandrio, (1-2), earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. The loss makes Twin Cities 18-23. José Hernández was the walk-off hero, with the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, hitting a one out double to left that plated Ettan Cherukuri. Final Score: Wolves 4 - River Monsters - 3

Image
Game 6
The Wolves wasted a impressive 6 innining outing by Miyamoto, losing 2-0 to the River Monsters. Miyamoto had one of his best outings this season. However, the River Monsters 5 headed monster was just a better. Allowing 0 runs and 4 hits. Miyamoto was name player of the game even in teams loss. In another close game the Wolves hitters failed to capitalize when they had the chance leaving 3 men in scoring position with 2 outs.
Final Score: Wolves 0 - River Monsters - 2
